How good does it feel to hear this? When teams or organisations begin to embrace experimentation, I know I'm on the right track with coaching agility.

This recently happened with one of the teams I work with. We were discussing new ways of working to try and someone said 'Let's just try it for a few weeks!'. I wanted to give them the biggest of virtual high fives.

My actionable takeways for promoting a culture of experimentation;

Let people know that new approaches aren't set in stone, they can and will be changed and should be discussed at retrospectives

Let people know that with experimentation comes mistakes. De-stigmatise failure and rebrand it as 'Learning'

When testing against your hypothesis, focus on what the customers / data is telling you as opposed to gut instinct.

What ways do you use to promote a culture of experimentation?
